Meet the Author, K.J. Calloway
K.J. Calloway, a proud native of Atlanta, Georgia, has always been passionate about learning, teaching, and storytelling. From a young age, she dreamed of becoming a teacher — a dream she fulfilled after earning her bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Albany State University in Albany, Georgia. For 30 years, she devoted her life to educating and inspiring young minds in Kindergarten through 4th grade. Known for her warmth, creativity, and dedication, she left a lasting impact on generations of students.
Upon retirement, she turned her attention to another lifelong passion — writing. Inspired by cherished memories with her family and her journey to motherhood, she created the Adventures of Allison & Brooke, a heartfelt inclusive children’s book series celebrating love, resilience, and the joys of family.
Through her stories, K.J. continues to educate, uplift, and connect with children and families, sharing the adventures of two special girls who found their forever home.
